Mary-Ruth has eight years of field ecology and conservation research experience. Her past positions involved urban ecological research and wildlife rehabilitation and release. In 2018 she joined a Malaysia-based conservation project focused on protecting flying foxes and other fruit bat pollinators. She worked with fruit growers to investigate their perceptions towards pollinators and raise awareness about the importance of bats pollinators.

Mary-Ruth joined ASAP in 2022 and will be managing overall communications for ASAP. She looks forward to serving the needs of the partnership and raising the profile of the crucial work carried out by conservation organisations and practitioners throughout the region.
