Project Design and Fundraising training

The ASAP Secretariat is pleased offer a new online training opportunity on Project Design and Fundraising, in partnership with the Tropical Biology Association (TBA). The fundraising course will be focused on developing and writing grant applications.

This training will be a mixture of self-paced online learning, interactive zoom sessions with the trainers, and tasks with personalised feedback. There will also be the opportunity for direct one-to-one coaching with either TBA or the ASAP Secretariat.

  • The entire training is expected to take approximately 46 hours of learning (divided into two courses at 23 hours each).

  • There will be one 90-minute interactive zoom session for each module.

  • The training will run from 4 November to 12 December 2024 and 10 February to 21 March 2025.

  • Most of the learning will be self-paced and all training will be online.

  • Timings of the modules and the training content are detailed further below.

All training and materials will be in English. A good level of English language will be needed to participate.

We will require a Letter of Support from the head of your organisation to confirm your participation.

We expect to be able to offer fully funded places for 15 – 18 applicants from ASAP Partner organisations and it will be a competitive application process. More than one participant per organisation may be accepted.

Priority will be given to staff at local or national organisations that are working to conserve neglected ASAP Species, are committed to attend all training sessions in both courses and are in the process of developing projects or project proposals on neglected ASAP Species.
