Mission statement

The Talarak Foundation Inc. (TFI) was established with the intention to set and provide the long-term protection of threatened and rare Philippine biodiversity through conservation programs.

Our Conservation Captive Breeding Program has seen many successes in breeding Negros Island’s Big Five in Conservation importance, namely: Visayan Spotted Deer, Visayan Warty Pig, Visayan Tarictic Hornbill, Rufous-Headed Hornbill, and the Negros Bleeding Heart Pigeon. In line with our in-situ program, our reforestation and forest protection program has been successful with over 1,000 hectares of forest growth seen in the North Negros Natural Park. Our community projects have led to ex-loggers becoming ambassadors for our forests
