Viet Nature Conservation Centre (Viet Nature)
Mission statement
Viet Nature Conservation Centre (Viet Nature) is a national conservation NGO in Vietnam that has grown from BirdLife International program in Vietnam. Inheriting the prestigious science base of BirdLife International, Viet Nature continues to build national leadership in the field of conservation in the country.
Viet Nature’s work focuses on:
biodiversity conservation actions on the ground
sustainable natural resource management
climate change adaptation and mitigation
conservation science capacity building
environmental awareness raising and education.
The Vietnam Edwards’s Pheasant Working Group (VN-EPWG) is coordinated by Viet Nature. It was established “To secure, maintain and restore the genetic resources and safe, suitable habitat for a long term persistence of Edwards’s Pheasant in the wild.

Earlier this year, a significant breakthrough was made in one of the projects funded by ASAP’s Species Conservation Fund. After a long search, the dedicated team rediscovered the very first specimen of an Mesilau Stream Toad, thought to have been lost to science.
