Mission statement

The D'ABOVILLE Foundation, through its Community-Tamaraw Driven Landscape Program, aims at supporting local stakeholders and Philippine authorities in their mission to conserve the critically endangered tamaraw and preserve the habitats it can be found. The strategy is to build, restore, and preserve a sustainable landscape where the species, Mindoro's biodiversity and the local indigenous communities sharing their living space with wildlife can thrive together.

The program has three pillars of actions:

  • Research on the ecology, distribution and monitoring techniques on target species

  • Increase of local capacities for field protection, multi-stakeholder coordination and law enforcement

  • Bio-cultural approach with local indigenous communities to build co-management.
