Cahaya is an experienced conservation policy advisor and stakeholder engagement specialist with a diverse background spanning nearly 10 years as a journalist, gender specialist, and researcher. In her previous role, she advocated for Indonesia's wildlife conservation in global environmental processes, bridging the gap between decision-makers, national and local organizations, and affected communities. She has a strong interest in ensuring that conservation efforts are inclusive and considerate of diverse perspectives.

Cahaya joined ASAP in 2023 as the Indonesia Programme Coordinator, to provide bespoke support to ASAP Partners in Indonesia and to enhance the impact of ASAP's work in Indonesia.
