Mission statement
Our organization is driven by a passionate group of indigenous leaders who are committed to protecting local biodiversity of international importance. Through community-led initiatives, we aim to enhance the capacity of local people to lead conservation campaigns, develop community schools, preserve indigenous knowledge, and improve adaptive capacity to cope with adverse climate change impacts. At BCCN, we believe that conservation efforts must be rooted in community involvement and empowerment, and we are dedicated to creating a sustainable future for all.
