About Us
Can Tho Technical Economic College, formerly Can Tho Practical Agriculture School, was established in 1957. After numerous name changes during the development, on August 25th 2004 Can Tho Technical Economic College was officially established under Decision No. 4764 of the Minister of Education and Training.
Over 60 years of establishment and development, our college has trained tens of thousands of specialized staffs in agriculture, aquaculture, economics and technology providing human resources for Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta area.
Many of whom today have become leaders and successful entrepreneurs. Especially, aquaculture and agriculture being important orientations of development in Mekong Delta has been focused by our college towards sustainable development along with resource conservation.

ASAP Species That We Work On
What We Do
As a Department of Can Tho Technical Economic College, Technology of Aquaculture is operating practical hatchery and ponds with total area of over 3000 m2. Now our hatchery and ponds are producing some rare local species such as (Mastecembelus favus and Mastecembelus armatus). About ASAP Species our Department of Aquaculture Technology is planning to reserve Catlocarpio siamensi towards reproducing and restocking fingerlings back to the Mekong river.
