About Us

Formed in 1954 as the Singapore branch of the Malayan Nature Society, Nature Society (Singapore) (NSS) is a volunteer-led NGO dedicated to the appreciation and conservation of Singapore’s and the surrounding region’s natural heritage.

Achievements include the conservation of Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, Kranji Marshes, and the Green Rail Corridor.

NSS is BirdLife International’s Singapore partner and a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and Global Compact Network Singapore. NSS has been awarded the Charity Transparency Award since its inception from 2016 to 2019 as well as the Charity Governance Award 2016 by Charity Council.
