About Us
The Wildlife Rescue Centre (WRC) Jogja is a field project of Yayasan Konservasi Alam Yogyakarta, which aims to rescue, temporarily rehabilitate, and release the confiscated wild animals.
We work further towards conservation through educating and raising awareness of the conservation scene to the community, providing crucial jobs to locals, and conducting research activities that will benefit our conservation program in the field.
ASAP Species That We Work On
What We Do
We rescue the Malayan Giant Turtle (Orlithia borneensis), Yellow-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua sulphurea), and orang-utan (Pongo pygmaeus), rehabilitate and release them back to the wild. When releasing them is not possible for us, we will transfer those animals to other wildlife rescue and rehabilitation facilities which are more capable to rehabilitate and release.
Where We Work
Pengasih, Kulon Progo District, Special Region Of Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
